retired high school teacher

I taught graphic design for 17 years and  retired (2020). It was the most rewarding job I have ever had!  I taught Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, along with principles of design, best practices, and hopefully, a little about life in general!  

Since retired I help out part-time as a bookkeeper at the factory my husband and I are partners in - it's a PICKLE FACTORY!!!

I did not entirely quit teaching when I retired, I kept one of my extra jobs which was teaching Intro to Graphic Arts at a local community college. This is purely vectors and therefore  Adobe Illustrator. I teach it completely online and as an accelerated class which means it is only 8 weeks! That moves pretty fast, but we manage to learn a lot about vector graphics!

When I get the chance I write curriculum for high school graphics teachers. This can be with a few peers or through an initiative at a college specifically for high school teachers.
