About Me

I retired from teaching graphic design after 17 years (2003-2020) in Denton, TX. I absolutely love graphics. Photoshop and Illustrator are like family members for me! LOL.

I became a little more interested in Illustrator when I started teaching vector graphics at a local community college.  Now I probably use Illustrator twice as much as Photoshop, but still love both!

My husband John and I celebrated our 16th anniversary last June.  We can usually be found one of a few places -  home; at work at the PICKLE FACTORY; our favorite Italian restaurant (Parma in Lewisville, TX); bowling; or church!  Other than that we are avid tourists! Traveling as much as possible. Here we are at the Louvre in Paris!

My years teaching high school

One would think that after teaching 11th and 12th graders for 17 years you might get tired of it or least bored with it. Nothing could be further from the truth. I loved it until the day I retired. I made lifetime friends of other teachers and students. I have been to many graduations from college and at least four weddings of past students and hopefully will be able to go to many more!

College level classes

I started teaching an Intro to Computer Graphics night class as an adjunct professor in 2012 and have taught it consistently since. It is quite different than high school but just as enjoyable. I have been through some transitions with the format of the class but currently teach it online and accelerated which means it is 16 weeks condensed into 8 weeks totally online.
